Cosa fare a Westminster
Westminster è il cuore istituzionale di Londra: il Parlamento e la Elizabeth Tower (Big Ben), la Westminster Abbey, Downing Street e Buckingham Palace si trovano tutti a 15 minuti a piedi l'uno dall'altro. La Westminster Abbey costa circa 30£ per gli adulti e si affolla in fretta, quindi conviene prenotare online una fascia orario invece di fare la coda sul posto.
Il Cambio della Guardia a Buckingham Palace si può vedere gratis dalla strada, di solito verso le 11 nei giorni previsti, ma è cosa diversa dalla visita al palazzo stesso, che apre solo per alcune settimane in estate (fine luglio-settembre) e costa a partire da circa 35£.
Trafalgar Square e St James's Park sono entrambi a pochi passi, utili per collegare la zona a piedi.
