Camden is best known for its market, its music venues and the stretch of Regent's Canal that runs through it. Camden Market spreads across several sites near the Lock and gets crowded on weekends, so weekday mornings are calmer for browsing stalls and food vendors. Rather than take the Underground back into central London, you can join a canal boat along Regent's Canal towards Little Venice, a journey of about 5 kilometres taking roughly 90 minutes, with towpath walking as a free alternative in either direction.
