Things to do in Richmond, Kew and Hampton Court
Richmond, Kew and Hampton Court sit close together along the Thames west of London, but they are three separate sites, not one afternoon stop. Kew Gardens charges around £15-22 for entry and needs half a day for the glasshouses and treetop walkway.
Hampton Court Palace, Henry VIII's former residence, costs roughly £25-30 and is a 35-40 minute train from Waterloo to Hampton Court station, then a short walk. Richmond Park is free and open year-round, home to several hundred free-roaming deer across 955 hectares.
Combining all three in one day means long walking distances and rushed visits; most visitors do better picking two.
