Things to do at the Tower of London and the City
The Tower of London is a working fortress, not a free landmark: entry runs roughly £30-35 for an adult, and pre-booking is strongly advised since same-day tickets can sell out, especially in July and August. 5 to 3 hours.
Next door, Tower Bridge itself is free to walk across, but the Tower Bridge Exhibition, with its glass walkway over the road, is a separate paid attraction costing around £12-14.
The surrounding City, London's historic financial district, adds St Paul's Cathedral and the Monument, both charging admission, within a 15-20 minute walk.
